KATHMANDU: An Indian national died after being hit by a passenger bus in Swayambhu of Kathmandu on Saturday.

Narayan Sahani (40) from Motihari of India was riding on the bike (Ba 55 Pa 7398) while he was hit by the Samyukta Yatayat bus (Ba 3 Kha 4554) at Annapurna Chok, KMC-15 today.

Sahani, who was currently staying in Manamaiju of Kathmandu, was seriously injured in the accident and rushed to Balaju-based Janamaitri Hospital.

The man breathed his last at the Hospital during treatment.

The unidentified pillion rider sustained injuries in the accident and is undergoing treatment at the same health facility.

Police are searching for the absconding bus driver.
