CA Chair Nembang calls CA meeting for 5pm tomorrow
KATHMANDU: Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Nembang has called the CA meeting for 5 pm on Friday.
The CA Chairman called the meeting for tomorrow with a hope that the parties will reach an agreement to go for six-province federal model by this evening.
The leaders of the major four political forces have been holding discussions since this morning to resolve all the disputed issues of the constitution.
The Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC)-led by UCPN-Maoist leader Baburam Bhattarai is likely to present a report on the disputed issues of the constitution in the meeting tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Parliament meeting held on Thursday passed a condolence motion on the demise of former lawmaker and Nepali Congress leader Surya Prasad Pradhan.
The meeting also observed a minute’s silence in memory of Pradhan.
Leader Pradhan, who collapsed all of a sudden at his residence in Butwal on Tuesday, was rushed to the Lumbini Zonal Hospital in Butwal where he breathed his last at 6:15 am yesterday.
Speaker Subas Nembang informed that the next meeting of the Parliament will be held at 5:30 pm on August 7.
