KATHMANDU; President Dr Ram Baran Yadav today discussed progress on the constitution writing process and endorsement of the fiscal budget with CA Chairman Subash Chandra Nembang.

During the meeting at the President’s residence at Shital Niwas, the President insisted for the endorsement of the budget through the Legislature-Parliament. In the face of the disruption of the House business by the Maoists since long, the government has been considering promulgation of ordinance as an alternative for the endorsement of budget.

Following his meeting with the President, Nembang told that the President expressed his confidence that the CA would be able endorse the budget and write the statute within the stipulated time. “He exuded his commitment to make the CA more reliable, respectable and strong,” Nembang said.

The hour-long meeting comes at a time when rumors are making rounds over the dissolution of the CA and imposing the presidential rule.
