CA continues voting on statute articles, amendment proposals

The voting on individual articles and related amendment proposals is going on.

 

CA resumes voting after two-hour break, pauses again

KATHMANDU: The Constituent Assembly resumed voting on individual articles of the new constitution and amendment proposals registered on them.

Before the break, the CA has already endorsed 23 articles, three yesterday and 20 today.

After the resumption, the constitution writing body is voting on articles related to the fundamental rights.

The CA, meanwhile, rejected all amendment articles registered on Articles 24-37.

They all were registered by lawmakers of fringe parties. Major parties, however, had not registered any amendment proposal on them.

The CA meeting was postponed at around 1:20 pm today. It was scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm.

Meanwhile, the CA Chairman has halted the meeting for around half an hour. The meeting would resume at around 5 pm.
