Cabinet to endorse PM Oli's India visit agendas

KATHMANDU: The Cabinet is highly likely to endorse the agendas of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's India visit by this evening.

The Council of Ministers had held a meeting this morning to endorse the agendas.

However, the issue was put off for the next meeting to be held this evening, according to Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai.

The morning meeting instead decided to promote 21 under secretaries to the posts of joint secretary.

It also endorsed a plan of action to end power crisis in the nation within two years.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister directed the state visit delegation members to improve the bilateral ties and present in such away to keep country's respect and glory.

PM Oli is embarking on India visit on February 19.

During the visit, the head of the government is scheduled to hold official meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House on Saturday, February 20.

The Prime Minister will call on the Indian President, Pranab Mukherjee, and the Vice President, Mohammad Hamid Ansari also.
