Call to flutter Buddhist flags

The proposed Siddhartha University, which is waiting the government’s go ahead to run higher education in Buddhism, today appealed to all to mark the 2549th Buddha Jayanti by fluttering the Buddhist flags across the nation on May 23.

Dr Sunanda, chairman of the proposed university, urged the nation to flutter the flags at 8.00 am on May 23, and raise an unanimous public demand for eternal peace in the land where Buddha, the symbol of peace, was born.
