KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 18

KP Sharma Oli has been re-elected as Chair of the CPN (UML) for a third term through the party's 11th National Congress. He defeated his closest rival, Ishwar Pokhrel, in the election.

UML Chair Oli slams govt at party's 11th National Congress

According to the party's Central Election Commission, Oli secured 1,663 votes out of the 2,227 cast, while Pokhrel received 564.

Meanwhile, Shankar Pokhrel was elected General Secretary of the party, securing 1,228 votes against his rival, Surendra Prasad Pandey, who garnered 999 votes.
