KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 15

The Federation of Computer Association of Nepal has stated that there would be support for the country's economy if an arrangement for the operation and regulation of TikTok is made in line with the law.

In an issued press release, the CAN Federation urged the government to reconsider its decision, taking into account the reality that the development of information technology presents both opportunities and challenges.

The statement further emphasized that regulating TikTok would be appropriate, as it has become a medium for small and middle-scale entrepreneurs to expand their market.

The CAN Federation urges the government to engage in talks and coordinate with experts for the proper use of all types of social sites available in Nepal.

The statement concludes with, "CAN Federation urges the government to hold talks and coordinate with experts for the proper use of all types of social sites available in Nepal. We are ready to collaborate with the government for any technical cooperation from the position of the private sector."
