Foreigners robbed

KATHMANDU: An unidentified gang on Tuesday night robbed Korean citizen Seo Geong at Panipokhari. According to the police, the gang had robbed cash and property worth Rs 215,000 from Seo. They had attacked him with a sharp weapon before making away with the cash and property. He is being treated at Om Hospital. Meanwhile, a Taxi driver and others on Tuesday night robbed a Chinese citizen Halima Yons, who was on the way to Aarubari from Lazimpat. She was robbed of cash and property worth Rs 214,000 by the cabby whom she trusted for her safe travel.

Bombs diffused

KATHMANDU: A bomb disposal squad of the police on Wednesday diffused impoverished explosives planted on the premises of Nepal Academy at Kamaladi. According to the police, two socket bombs were found there at 11 am when anti-federal political party Rastriya Janamorcha was organising a function. Pamphlets bearing the name of previously unknown group 'Joint Ethnic People's Revolution- 2066 BS' were found near the bombs.

Gas cylinders stolen

KATHMANDU: Seven LP gas cylinders were stolen from a gas store owned by Krishna Raj Gajurel in Manaiju, Kathmandu on Tuesday night, police said. The thieves are at large.
