Nude dancers arrested

KATHMANDU: The police on Thursday night arrested eleven persons, including six women, for performing nude dances at Fida Dance Bar in Putalisadak. The dancers were held while performing dances during a police raid. An investigation into the case is underway, police said.

Civil servants’ election

KATHMANDU: Six candidates are likely to contest for the post of chairman of the Nepal Civil Servants' Organisation, affiliated to ruling Communist Party of Nepal (UML). A representative taking part in a conference to select new leadership today said six candidates are considering filing their candidacy if they could not select a common consensual chairman. The election is likely to be held on Sunday. "Former General Secretary Bhola Pokhrel could be the common candidate," he added.
