KATHMANDU, APRIL 1

Hearing on the review petition filed by CPN (Maoist Centre) chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, regarding Supreme Court's verdict which annulled the unification between CPN-MC and CPN-UML, will be carried out by a full bench headed by Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana.

The hearing will be carried out today by the bench will includes Justices Tej Bahadur KC and Prakash Kumar Dhungana.

Dahal, on March 30, went to the Supreme Court to register an application for the review of its recent verdict that had repealed the 2018-unification between the Maoist Centre and CPN-UML.

The apex court, on March 7, with its decision to accord the name Nepal Communist Party to Rishi Ram Kattel, had quashed the unification between the two parties.

Following the decision of joint bench of Justices Kumar Regmi and Bam Kumar Shrestha, the two parties had moved back to their status of two separate entities rather than one unified party.
