The chill is here to stay for two more weeks, the Meteorological division said today. The mercury had dipped to a record low last week.
Minimum temperature of the Valley stood at -0.5 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday, making the two days chilliest days of the year. But the mercury went a little up to 0.6 degree Celsius today, making the Valley a bit warmer. “The chill will prevail for two weeks and the weather pattern will remain same,” senior meteorologist Rajendra Prasad Shrestha said.
He said there are chances of precipitation in the western region to ‘western disturbances’ in the weather. “Aberrations of temperature is normal when season is about to change,” he said.
