KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday filed charge sheets at the Special Court in Kathmandu against a government engineer and the  chairman of a road construction users' committee of Gorkha.

A CIAA statement said engineer Chandreswhari Yadav, who is deputed at the Morang-based Department of the Urban Development and Building Construction Division Office, was caught red-handed while taking bribe of Rs 10,000 from a service recipient.

Santosh KC, the chairman of a road construction users' committee in Gorkha, allegedly embezzled around Rs 1 million.
