The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police has written to Speaker Devraj Ghimire, informing him of an ongoing investigation into House of Representatives member Binod Chaudhary regarding a land scam involving the Bansbari Leather Shoe Factory.
CIB Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson Hobindra Bogati stated that the CIB contacted Speaker Ghimire to provide information on the matter.
The investigation concerns the transfer of ownership of 10 ropani of land, originally registered in the name of Bansbari Leather Footwear Factory, to Champion Footwear Limited, of which Chaudhary was a founding shareholder and a former board member.
