KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has raided the Tribhuvan International Airport-based Customs Office on Wednesday evening.

DIG Navaraj Silawal, Chief of CIB,  said that they had received a tip-off regarding some suspicious object being kept in the area which could have been a big threat to the security of the nation.

The team raided the TIA on the basis of information received from the INTERPOL and details of the investigation are still awaited.

Police are looking into the issue, he said.
