Conduct hearing for SC justices: SCBA
KATHMANDU: Supreme Court Bar Association on Friday said its attention was drawn to Speaker Onsari Gharti’s recent decision to send the Judicial Council’s nomination of 11 Supreme Court justices back to the constitutional body.
The SCBA urged the Parliament to conduct hearing for newly nominated justices by formulating Parliamentary Regulations.
The SCBA said the Parliament Secretariat, which was under the constitutional obligation to enact Parliamentary Regulations and conduct Parliamentary hearings for the newly nominated constitutional posts, refused to fulfill its obligation.
