LALITPUR: Nepali Congress Central Committee (CC) meeting resumed at its party office in Sanepa, Lalitpur on Thursday at 11 am.

According to sources, the meeting was to discuss the final draft of its constitution prepared by a team led by Krishna Sitaula. The constitution of the party will be tendered in the upcoming Mahasamiti meeting for its promulgation.

In Wednesday's discussion, some CC members demanded the presence of party president Girija Prasad Koirala in the meeting considering the importance of a discussion of the main document of the party. But Sujata Koirala, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister informed that the president could not attend the meeting due to his poor health. The reality is that the president is dissatisfied with some provisions in the new constitution.
