KATHMANDU: The Constitutional Council meeting that was called for this morning has been postponed till 5 pm, today.

Due to the absence of Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Sapkota, the quorum could not be achieved and as such the meeting could not commence as scheduled.

The Constitutional Council — chaired by the Prime Minister — has the Chief Justice, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chairperson of the National Assembly, leader of the main opposition party in the House of Representatives, and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives as members.
