Construction of Kathmandu View Tower to begin next week

A little over a month after acquiring work permit from Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Jaleshwor Swachchhanda Builders Pvt Ltd has completed survey and side clearance for the construction of Kathmandu View Tower.
KMC’s dream project to construct the tallest tower in Kathmandu had officially started on August 14 this year, the same day that the company acquired the work permit.
According the company, side clearance, survey work, and measurement activities required prior to beginning construction has been completed.
Chairperson of the company Manoj Bhetwal informed that excavation and foundation laying work would start from next week.
Bhetwal said, “If everything goes as planned, the project will be completed within three years by August 14, 2019.” As part of the agreement with KMC, the construction company will operate the building for 30 years after construction. The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed within three years. “We have asked the contracting company to ensure that the work is completed on time,” said Gyanendra Karki, spokesperson at KMC.
The building is to be of 12 storeys. For construction of the tower, Old Bus Park has been temporarily moved to Khullamanch.
