Cosmic Air returns Fokker

Kathmandu, September 8:

Cosmic Air has returned its Fokker to the leasing company AerCo following an agreement between the two parties.

As per the agreement the leasing company, had withdrawn legal cases filed against the airline at the International Court of Arbitration in UK. “We returned the Fokker to AerCo yesterday as per the agreement while one more Fokker was delivered to AerCap Ireland Ltd a month back,” said a Cosmic Air source. He said the airline delivered both the aircraft to the two leasing companies after all the issues were “settled.” The source, declined to divulge further information on content of negotiation between. The leasing companies earlier had a row with Cosmic Air over default in payment and lease agreements. Cosmic Air now has two Fokkers, out of which, one is operating on the international sectors as well as on domestic sectors.

The other Fokker continues to remain grounded at Tribhuvan International Airport due to technical glitches.
