Court order on Sobhraj case

Kathmandu, March 31:

The Patan Appellate Court today issued an order to government authorities, including the

Kathmandu District Police Office and the Office of the Government Attorney, to produce some people before the bench to record their statements following the appeal filed by Charles Sobhraj Gurumukh. A division bench of judges Krishna Prasad Shrestha and Atmaram Bhattarai issued the order. The bench is examining Sobhraj’s appeal against the Kathmandu District Court verdict that convicted him eight months ago for the killing two foreigners in 1975. The court ordered the authorities to produce Gunahari Adhikary, Nar-ayan Bahadur Khatri, Chandrika Lal Shrestha and Purna Bahadur Maharjan before the bench.
