KATHMANDU: A scooter rider, who was critically injured after a mini-truck hit a two-wheeler he was riding on in front of the Furniture Land in Babarmahal on Wednesday, died during the course of treatment at the Annapurna Neuro Hospital in Maitighar.

The deceased has been identified as Dhruba KC (35) of Banthali-9, Kavre.

Police said that the incident occurred when the mini-truck (Ba 3 Kha 6832) heading towards Babarmahal from New Baneshwor hit the two-wheeler (Ba 56 Pa 4520) coming from the opposite direction yesterday evening.

Police have impounded the mini-truck and arrested its driver for investigation.
