Current crisis should end at earliest, says President

KATHMANDU: Expressing her serious concern over problems Nepali people are currently facing, President Bidya Devi Bhandari said the crisis should end at the earliest.

Receiving a delegation of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) led by its President Mahendra Bista at her office this morning, the President said there was an immediate need to ensure that all Nepali families have fuel to cook food and have smooth transpiration.

For that, the parties should engage in dialogues with the protesting parties, the Head of the State suggested.

According to Bhandari, she had drawn the attention of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to the issue on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Bhandari said she would try her best to develop national unity, tolerance and harmony among people living in various regions of the nation.

The FNJ delegation had reached the Sheetal Niwas to congratulate Bhandari for her election to the post.

The delegation included Bista, former FNJ Presidents Suresh Acharya, Bishnu Nisthuri and Dharmendra Jha, Advisor Poshan KC and Vice-Presidents Anita Bindu and Khil Bahadur Bhandari among others.
