CVR from two more places now
Kathmandu, October 27
The Nepal Police has made arrangements for receiving applications for Character Verification Report (CVR) also from metropolitan police ranges in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
Earlier, police had been collecting applications and issuing the report only through the Ranipokhari-based Metropolitan Police Office and the Maharajgunj-based Metropolitan Police Circle for Nepalis, and Character Verification Section at the Nepal Police Headquarters for Nepalis living abroad, foreign refugees and foreigners living in Nepal.
Officials said Nepali citizens staying in Nepal may file applications in newly-established centres for the report. The report, which is mandatory for people seeking to go abroad, is issued upon verification of the applicants’ criminal history. The applicants have to approach the designated police stations to apply for and collect the certificate.
