KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal claimed that his party was the central force in the current political course of the nation.

Claiming that his party was guided by his party's agenda, Dahal said the party had a potential to rid the nation of current unrest.

The former Prime Minister was addressing a function organised by his party on the occasion of the 122nd Mao Day at its headquarters in Kathmandu today.

"Even today, all are looking at us to solve problems including the Tarai protests," he claimed.

The Maoist leader also claimed that the Constitution was promulgated out of the Maoists' hard work.

Other Maoist leaders had discussed contribution of the legendary Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong to the global Communist movement.
