KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 24

Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has called for a meeting of its Parliamentary Party, today.

The meeting is scheduled for 4:00 pm this afternoon.

NCP's splinter group had earlier replaced Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli with Pushpa Kamal Dahal as the leader of the Parliamentary Party.

The meeting is said to decide on future moves of the party following the reinstatement of the parliament.

Constitutional bench of the Supreme Court, in a landmark verdict on Tuesday, reinstated the House of Representatives, invalidating the government's December 20 decision to dissolve the Lower House of Parliament. The SC has ordered the government to call the new session of the Parliament within 13 days.
