Dahal's body kept at Paris Danda for final tribute, to be cremated today itself

KATHMANDU: The body of Prakash Dahal, son of former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has been kept at Paris Danda, the CPN Maoist Centre headquarters, for final tribute.

He will be cremated at the Pashupati Aryaghat as per the Hindu tradition at 4:00 pm today itself.

Former Prime Minister and Prakash's father Pushpa Kamal Dahal draped the party's flag over his body to pay final tribute.

Former King Gyanendra Shah has also expressed his sadness over the demise of Dahal.

Likewise, Ambassador of India to Nepal Manjeev SIngh Puri also reached Paris Danda to pay last tribute to him.

Hundreds of party cadres, relatives, and well wishers have reached the party headquarters to pay final tribute to Dahal. Various political leaders are also on their way to Paris Danda for last tribute.

Dahal had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and had breathed his last before reaching the Thapathali-based Norvic International Hospital this morning.

Dahal was also a central committee member of the party and the personal aide of Pushpa Kamal Dahal. He was busy in the election campaigning in Chitwan for the past few days.
