Deep Kumar Upadhyay, Leela Mani Paudyal recommended for Nepal envoys to India, China
The Oli-led government had recommended CPN-UML leader Mahendra Bahadur Pandey for ambassadorship in the northern neighbour. The new government led by CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, however, had withdrawn the recommendation.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet also appointed Min Kumar Shrestha to the position of National Planning Commission Vice-Chairperson, informed the government spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki.
Shrestha is currently working at the Nepal Rastra Bank as an Executive Director.
The Cabinet meeting also appointed Rishi Adhikari and Shreeram Paudel as foreign affairs advisor and financial advisor to the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, discussions were also held on changing responsibilities of various secretaries.
