Kathmandu, October 27

Defence Minister Bhimsen Das Pradhan returned home today after participating in the cremation of Thailand’s monarch Bhumibol Adulyadej who died on October 13.

The cremation ceremony was held in Bangkok yesterday.

Minister Pradhan was accompanied to the Thai capital, Bangkok, by Durga Prasad Bhandari, Joint Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Dr Khaga Nath Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, among others.

During a brief audience with King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun yesterday, Minister Pradhan expressed deep condolences, according to a press release.
