KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary and Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that promulgating a democratic constitution was the dream of the late Girija Prasad Koirala.
At a seminar organised by Nepal Student's Union unit of Gramin Adarsha Campus on the occasion of 92nd birth anniversary of late Girija Prasad Koirala on Friday, Sitaula said that writing of the new constitution's draft is going to fulfill the dream of late Koirala. He also asked the Madhes-centric parties to join the constitution-writing process, arguing that collective efforts were needed for sustainable peace and democracy. Sitaula expressed confidence that late Girija Prasad Koirala's campaign will be a success as the constitution is being written under the leadership of the Congress party.
