Deuba honoured
KATHMANDU: The Deuda Society Kathmandu honoured Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday.
He was honoured at a programme organised here on the occasion of Bisu festival (the festival celebrated in far-western region on New Year day).
On the occasion, Deuba expressed his belief that the country would succeed in implementing the new constitution by resolving the issues raised by Madhes-based parties.
Similarly, parliamentarian NP Saud and Deuda singer Nanda Krishna Joshi, among others stressed on economic development of the country.
Deuda singers Yagya Raj Upadhyay and Narendra Raj Regmi were also honoured for their contribution to strengthening folk culture of the far western region.
