Deuba hopeful of UML support to endorse Constitution amendment bill

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba claimed that the Constitution amendment bill would be endorsed from the Parliament with the main opposition CPN-UML's consent.

Receiving a memorandum submitted by the Reporters' Club Nepal at his residence in Budhanilakantha today, Deuba said," I believe the CPN-UML will agree on endorsing the amendment bill after ending the Parliament obstruction."

"The main opposition will also vote for the Constitution amendment proposal. We will endorse the bill with CPN-UML's support, rest assured," added the NC President.

Deuba further stated that the presented bill would be endorsed as it was while registering, without making any further change.

"It is our duty and responsibility to lead the nation towards prosperity and we do not have any other choice than institutionalising the achievements of various democratic movements," said Deuba, adding, "Cooperation, unity and agreement among the parties is mandatory for the same."
