Deuba leaves for Europe trip
KATHMANDU: Former prime minister and senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba leaves for a week-long Europe trip on Thursday. He will be attending different programmes organised by Jana Samparka Samiti, a chapter of Nepali people residing in European countries—Belgium, Portugal, Luxembourg, Germany and Netherlands. In brief talks with reporters in Tribhuwan International Airport before his departure to Europe Deuba suggested the Prime Minister remain calm over the UCPN-Maoist comments. He slammed the protest programmes announced by UPCN-Maoist as hindrances for the new constitution and peace process. He further said that the issues regarding the Army Chief were irrelevant in the present context. Deuba is accompanied by his wife and CA member Aarzoo Deuba and former general secretary of Nepal Student Union Kiran Poudel.
