KATHMANDU: The Laxmi Prasad Devkota Centennial Celebration Committee will award radio presenter Hem Kumar Subedi of Kantipur FM with the 'Mahakabi Devkota Millennium Award', which carries a purse of Rs 25,000.
In a statement issued here today, the committee said Subedi was selected for the award for his contribution to informing the public about Devkota through the radio. Five winners of a Masters'-level essay competition will also be awarded on the occasion.
Likewise various litterateurs are also receiving the Devkota Century Essay Award. Each will be awarded Rs 10,000.
