Discussion on Appropriation Bill from tomorrow

KATHMANDU: The second meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today approved a proposal seeking consideration on 'Appropriation Bill-2074' by a majority.

Taking part in the discussion, Lawmaker Prem Suwal said that action should be taken against those entrepreneurs and businessmen who were involving in financial crime by evading value-added tax (VAT).

Suwal also demanded for taking necessary decisions in this regard.

Similarly, responding to the query of Lawmaker Suwal, Minister for Finance Gyanendra Karki said that the government would not give concession to anyone from paying tax as it is the responsibility of people.

Earlier to this, Finance Minister Karki had tabled 'Appropriation Bill-2074' and 'National Debt Recovery Bill-2074' in the parliament.

Meanwhile, Speaker Onsari Gharti said that discussions on the Appropriation Bill would be held from July 4-11.

The next meeting of the Legislature-Parliament has been scheduled for 11:00 am on July 5.
