Disgruntled parties will come to negotiating table soon: PM Koirala

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala expressed his confidence that the disgruntled parties would come to the negotiating table soon.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Nepali Congress (NC) to mark 101st birth anniversary of BP Koirala in the Capital on Thursday, PM Koirala, who is also the NC President, said that he believes the agitating groups would come to the talks table by abiding democratic rules and system.

“We have urged the protesting political parties for talks. We are working to promulgate the constitution through the Constitution Assembly. Let’s join talks and end existing political unrest through dialogue,” said PM Koirala, indicating to the protesting groups.

Koirala said that the constitution is an agreement among political parties as no political party holds two-third majority in the CA.

Saying that the principles of unity and integrity adopted by the founder of democracy BP Koirala are relevant this time as well, he stressed the need to embrace BP’s principles and thoughts.
