DNYF to focus on polls

Kathmandu, January 6:

The fifth plenum of Democratic National Youth Federation (DNYF), Nepal, held from January 4-6, has come up with a strategy to strengthen its organisation in order to make CPN-UML victorious in the Constituent Assembly polls.

The meeting has decided to organise a national gathering of its cadres on March 5 and 6, where they would focus on the discussion regarding CA polls. A 553-member CA polls Support Committee has also been formed under the leadership of its president Ajambar Rai Kangmang to support the polls. “This policy intends to safeguard CPN-UML voters from YCL and the NC cadres who are supported by Army and Police,” said Kangmang, while addressing a press meet today.

DNYF has also decided to organise National Youth and Student Festival from February 29-March 3 to establish the federation among youth and students and to collect fund for the DNYF.

The federation has demanded the government to implement the agreement made with Madhesi communities.
