DoHM forecasts more rainfall

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast more rain and snowfall for the next two days.
“Overcast skies and rainfall will persist throughout the country until tomorrow. Western region will witness the return of weather to its normal pattern from Saturday but it will continue into Sunday in the eastern and central regions,” DoHM said.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the weather would be generally mostly cloudy throughout the country for the next two days. Light to moderate rain will occur at many places with chances of heavy rainfall at a few places. There is also a possibility of moderate to heavy snowfall at many places of the high mountainous region,” the MFD said.
The weather pattern has been attributed to the western disturbance.
Many parts of the country received rainfall today. Jumla recorded the highest rainfall in the past 24 hours ending at 5:45 pm with 23.2 mm, followed by Birendranagar (22.5 mm) and Pokhara (19 mm). Similarly, Kathmandu received 10.6 mm of rainfall.
