Downtrodden threaten fresh stir

KATHMANDU: Nepal Backward Class Federation today warned of dire consequences if the government did not fulfil its eight-point demand at the earliest.

Speaking at a function organised here, Koushal Kumar Singh, national president of the federation accused the government of ignoring its demands.

"The government is provoking anger, instead of listening to the shared concerns of about 10 million people," he said, calling on the cadres to brace themselves for protesting afresh.Shree Dev Chandra Shah, talks team coordinator, said there was no difference of opinion within the federation.
