DPM Thapa claims Britain visit was successful

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa said his Britain visit was successful for the British government welcomed the Constitution.

Speaking with journalists on his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu from London today, Thapa said he held significant discussions about bilateral cooperation on matters of mutual interests.

"I held talks with foreign and law ministers there on the Colonel Kumar Lama case and Gurkhas working in the United Kingdom," Thapa told mediapersons.

The Deputy Prime Minister said it was also a significant achievement that the British government assured to review its assistance to Nepal through the Department for International Development (DFID).
