The Transparency International (TI) Nepal Chapter felicitated Dr KC for providing substantial contribution to health and education sector putting his life at peril.

TI Nepal has been felicitating an individual making substantial contribution to build integrity and prevent corruption in society every year on the occasion of the anti-corruption day.

At the programme, Joshi underlined the need for the government to make social security and public service delivery effective so as to obliterate corruption from the root while asserting that corruption was propping up in the country for no leader, leadership and governance system to operate the country in a proper way.

Feted personality Dr KC while stressing on the equal access of general public to quality health and education noted that corruption was nurturing in the country for no visionary leadership in the country. Unless the health and education sector do not get freed from politicisation no reforms could be envisaged in both the streams, he added.

Former Chancellor of TU Dr Kedar Bhakta Mathema and TI Nepal Chairperson Dr Bharat Bahadur Thapa among other were also present in the programme. They addressed the shortage of medical supplies along with the rampant black marketing of medicines and urged cooperation from the stakeholders to end it.
