KATHMANDU: A 24-year-old man drowned while swimming in Lagankhel of Lalitpur on Sunday.

Mukesh Nagarkoti, a resident of Lele VDC-6 of the district died in a pool in Lagankhel, LSMC-5.

The deceased had failed to swim properly as he was drunk, police said.

After getting the information regarding incident, police had rescued Nagarkoti and rushed him to Nagarkoti to the Patan Hospital. He was declared dead on arrival.

Police are investigating into the case.
