KATHMANDU: Two persons were arrested by police in possession of ampules of controlled drugs from Gausala of Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The arrestees have been identified as Suraj Bikram Rana (46), a permanent resident of Battisputali of Kathmandu and Sanjay Datta (30) of Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-3, currently residing at Guhyeshwori in the Capital.

A team deployed from the Narcotics Control Bureau had nabbed them.

Police said a case has been filed against the duo as per the Narcotic Drugs Control Act 1976.

The investigation is underway, added police.
