KATHMANDU: Two persons – a man and a woman – were arrested for their alleged involvement in trade of opium, from Sundhara of Kathmandu on Thursday.

Bishal Gurung (20) from Kharigaira-7 of Dailekh and Manju Tamang (29) from Surkhet district, currently residing in Kalanki of Kathmandu, were nabbed from Sundhara, KMC-11.

Police also seized 7.03 kg opium from them.

Acting on a tip-off that the illegal drug is being traded in the area, a police team was searching for them.

The duo were sent to the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, for further investigations and actions.
