Dy Speaker calls for inclusive policy
Kathmandu, March 16:
Deputy Speaker of the parliament, Chitralekha Yadav, today stressed the need to address the concerns of religious groups, ethnic minorities, geographical regions and linguistic groups through an inclusive policy. Speaking at a programme organised by the Nepal Jaycees, Yadav said: “The state should acknowledge the diversities prevailing in the country and address them accordingly to make democracy sustainable.”
The Deputy Speaker called on the political leaders to be loyal to the people and keep their words. “They should go beyond fulfilling personal interest and work towards addressing and resolving the conflict situation.”
