KATHMANDU, APRIL 18
The Election Commission (EC) has sought cooperation from the government and other stakeholders to hold the by-election in a free, fair, and credible manner.
The by-election is scheduled for April 27. The EC urged the government to help create an atmosphere conducive to security personnel and employees.
Proper management of electricity, drinking water, transport, health services, and communications should be put in place.
EC Spokesperson Shaligram Paudel issued a press release, informing that the EC was writing to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers for necessary direction to all concerned in this regard.
The by-election is being held on April 27 for a Province Assembly member from constituency no. 1 in Bajhang and for a House of Representatives member from constituency no. 2 of Ilam district.
