Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, has stated that efforts will be initiated to run the Parliament effectively.
The HoR Speaker said this during his address to the seventh assembly of the Society of Parliamentary Affairs Journalists, on Saturday.
He added that the Parliament would be made active, it being an elected entity. Sapkota also asserted that he would take a decision to move the House business forward and expected the media to play an efficient role in highlighting public issues.
In the same programme, National Assembly secretary Rajendra Phuyal said that the role of parliamentary affairs journalists was vital for investigation and archiving of parliamentary activities.
Meanwhile, Hamra Mananiya, a publication of the Society, was also launched during the programme.
