Kathmandu, October 6

The Election Commission today asked the government and political parties not to engage in any anti-election activity.

A meeting of EC office bearers held at its central office reminded all stakeholders of the polls panel’s preparation for the provincial and the parliamentary elections and implementation of the new constitution.

The election body said it had already published schedule for polls, appointed chief returning officers and returning officers, started printing  ballot papers for elections under the proportional representation electoral system, and trained trainers for voter education.
