KATHMANDU, JANUARY 30
The winter session of the federal parliament is set to convene at the International Convention Centre, New Baneshwor, at 1:00 PM tomorrow, Friday. This session is also regarded as the "bill session."
The Federal Parliament Secretariat has released the tentative agenda for both Houses. According to Secretariat Spokesperson Ekram Giri, the agenda includes the Speaker reading various letters from the President, including one regarding the commencement of the session.
Additionally, as per Rule 10 of the House of Representatives Regulation, 2079, the Speaker will nominate a member to chair the meeting. Lawmakers will also deliver statements on behalf of their respective parties, following established practice.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will present the Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Promoting Good Governance and Public Service Delivery, 2081. Similarly, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel will introduce the Ordinance on Financial Procedure and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment), 2081, the Ordinance on Privatization (First Amendment), 2081, and the Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Improving the Economic and Business Environment and Investment Promotion, 2081.
Meanwhile, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation Bal Ram Adhikari is scheduled to present the Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Cooperatives, 2081 and the Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Land Management, 2081.
The Speaker will also table various condolence motions. Additionally, the National Assembly agenda includes the presentation of the Media Council Bill, 2080 and the report of the Committee on the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Bill, 2081.
