FNJ THT elects new executive committee

Kathmandu, March 7

Jaya Ram Gautam was re-elected Chairman of The Himalayan Times chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists today.

The fifth conference of the The Himalayan Times chapter held at its office unanimously elected its executive committee, central and provincial representatives.

The executive committee comprises 11 members led by Gautam.

Ushak Karki and Prasanna Chitrakar were elected vice-chairpersons while Agni Prasad Luitel was re-elected secretary.

Sharada Adhikari and Anita Shrestha (inclusive category) were elected joint secretaries while Angila Shrestha was chosen as treasurer.

Other members include Skanda Gautam, Sangita Shrestha, Reena Chikanbanjar, and Hasana Lawaju.

Similarly, THT Editor Prakash Rimal, Deputy Editor Rajan Pokhrel and Head of Photography Rajesh Gurung were elected central representatives. Likewise, Chandani Ghimire, Ram Kumar Kamat, Keshav Koirala, and Rupesh Acharya were elected provincial representatives.

The conference was organised in the presence of central representative of Federation of Nepali Journalists Roshan Puri and FNJ Chapters’ Coordinator Suraj Acharya.

The election committee was headed by Sabin Chandra Acharya.

At the programme, Secretary Luitel presented THT chapter’s review report and future work plan for making the chapter’s work effective.
